About
Mission
Satoshi's Agents is an independent research project investigating what happens when autonomous AI agents become economic actors. It is not a news site, a token project, or a corporate whitepaper. It is a sustained intellectual effort to understand the convergence of two forces: intelligence gaining agency, and money becoming programmable.
What We Believe
For most of economic history, every financial transaction required a human decision. AI agents and programmable money are dissolving that assumption. The question is not whether this matters, but how, how much, and when.
The thesis is a question, not an answer. Bitcoin is a subject of inquiry, not a required conclusion. If the evidence shows that agent economic activity remains trivially small or fully absorbed by existing infrastructure, we will publish that finding prominently.
Principles
- Evidence over hype: every material claim is traceable to a source
- Scenarios over prophecy: we explore multiple plausible futures, never one prediction
- Questions before answers: the quality of the question matters more than the confidence of the answer
- Primary sources over commentary: original datasets and institutional publications take precedence
- Counterarguments are first-class content: evidence against a thesis receives equal visibility
- Uncertainty must be visible: confidence levels and conditions for changing conclusions are always displayed
- Simulation is not observed behavior: readers always know whether they see real data, a model, or speculation
- Technical possibility is not economic likelihood: feasibility does not imply probability
- The project must be willing to prove itself wrong: if evidence contradicts the founding thesis, we publish it prominently
Author
Ololade "Babs" Babalola
Research Lead, Satoshi's Agents
Ololade "Babs" Babalola is the founder of Satoshi's Agents and Principal at Humigence, an AI transformation practice that works with organizations to move AI from experimentation into operational capability through strategy, workforce enablement, workflow redesign, governance, and implementation.
Previously, he was a Director at Fidelity Investments / Fidelity Digital Assets, where his work spanned emerging technology, product strategy, and institutional digital assets.
His work sits at the intersection of artificial intelligence, financial systems, and emerging technology, particularly how new technologies change the infrastructure, products, operating models, and economic relationships through which value is created and exchanged.
He founded Satoshi's Agents as an independent research initiative to investigate a question emerging from the convergence of those fields:
Through Satoshi's Agents, Babs explores the emerging machine economy from first principles; examining agent payments, identity, ownership, treasury, stablecoins, Bitcoin, autonomous organizations, credit, agent-to-agent commerce, and machine capital markets while distinguishing technological possibility from observable economic evidence.
